CEO Sly Egidio

Thank you for picking up a copy of Yawkey Way Report. I’m Sly, Egidio, owner and operator of Yawkey Way Report. Many of you know me as “The Program Guy.”  I would like to tell you my story of how I got to where I am now.  It begins 20 years ago when I was just a young inner-city kid looking for a job. Why not Fenway Park?  I began selling programs at the age of 15. I spent my time at the ballpark working hard and learning the ropes of business.

At age 19, I joined the United States Marine Corps. The lessons that I learned in the Marines taught me about myself, life, and loyalty. I served my country proudly, and everyday pray for the safety of my fellow Veterans overseas.

I returned home to Boston, and began working at Fenway, and ballparks across America. Growing and making contacts gave me the ability to start a company named Beantown Collectibles. Through hard work and sacrifice, Beantown Collectibles was able to expand, larger and stronger. In a few short years, Beantown Collectibles has grown to be a major force in the sports collectibles market.

In 2012, myself and many former employees who I worked with over the years, decided the time was right to publish our own program/scorecard.  Thus, Yawkey Way Report was born. Yawkey Way Report’s mission is to give the fans great information with passion and integrity. We know that this publication will someday remind you of your personal favorite Fenway memories.  I know I have many Fenway memories myself and am looking to make many more in the coming years. After dedicating this 2013 season to my Grandmother, who always taught me that hard work equals success, I dedicated 2014 to all of those loved and lost from the “old neighborhood” (a.k.a East Boston).

In the last few years I have really grown with the help of all our “Fenway Family” and
co-workers and friends , I will continue to provide the Best Company to the Best
fans in the world and as always Im honored to serve Red Sox Nation

On the Ground st Fenway
